Treehouse Childcare & Early Learning Centre

You must fill out an online enrollment form and get in touch with your local center to secure a spot in our center. For the duration of your stay with us, all information, including immunization and medical records, will be kept on your profile and enrollment form. We can now set up a tour of the facility and address any queries you might have.

Every other Monday in arrears, the unpaid fees are deducted from your designated account (please check with your Center Director when your first debit will be). All days your kid is scheduled to attend the center, including public holidays, sick or absent days, and yearly holidays, are subject to fees.

Direct debit or credit card can be used to make the payment (credit card transactions are subject to a surcharge). Statements are available at any time through Xplor.

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a program that the Commonwealth Government (Centrelink – Family Assistance Office) has made available to parents to help with the cost of child care. The Australian Government’s contribution is intended to help families with the expense of childcare. If they are qualified and have been evaluated by the Family Assistance Office, families who use approved daycare can receive CCS to help with their fees. The parent or guardian is in charge of registering for CCS. Information and paperwork are available via your MyGov app, www.humanservices.gov.au, or by contacting a Customer Service Officer at 13 61 50.

After the parent or legal guardian completes the enrollment (complying written agreement), reservations will be made.

For families who want to modify or terminate their child’s permanent reservation or enrollment, four weeks’ notice is needed. (based on availability) or stop making use of the service.

The Center Director needs to be notified in writing.

After Hours Collection: If children are left in the center after 6:30 p.m. or after the end of the session, late fees will be assessed. For the first fifteen minutes after 6:30 p.m., each child will be charged $50, and after that, they will be charged $2 each minute. You will be automatically charged $10 per child every 15 minutes after a grace period if you have not picked up your child or children within the session durations. Talk to your director if you would want to evaluate the times of your current sessions.

This fee will be applied to your credit card or direct debit charge and will support the center’s operations after hours and employee pay.
What you need to bring?

All diapers, food, and beverages, such as milk or water, are provided by the center for older children.

Please provide sterile bottles and formula for infants who need them. Our employees will make bottles according to the specifications provided by the manufacturer. On-site preparation is also done for infant food needs.

It’s also a good idea to have extra clothes and any comforters, such as a dummy, “ruggy,” or that specific comfort object. Every item needs to be labeled with your child’s name and placed in an appropriate bag, such as their backpack. Playing outside requires hats and sunscreen, which the Center provides.

If your child wears diapers, you can also add a nappy in their suitcase for them to wear when they go home.

We appreciate your decision to enroll your kid in one of the Treehouse Early Learning Centers. To help you and your child get to know your center and educators, your director will plan orientation visits. This is an excellent chance for you to ask a lot of questions, discover where everything is, and give us additional information about you, your child, and your family.

You must sign your child in when they arrive at the center and out when they leave. In addition to being required by law, this is for the protection of your child. Please notify the center in writing if someone other than yourself will be picking up your child from care. If this person has never visited the center before, request that they provide identification, such as a driver’s license. If we don’t know, we’ll get in touch with you to ask for your consent before letting someone else look after your kid.

Parents and relatives are welcome to visit the center at any time because of its “open door” policy.

At arrival and departure, staff members are available to talk about your child’s needs. If a more thorough discussion is needed, we have a duty of care to the children in our care at the time. If not, a mutually convenient time can be set up.

We appreciate any feedback and remarks from parents. Please ask the staff members in your child’s room if you have any questions. Please get in touch with the director if you believe your concerns have not been addressed appropriately or if you still have concerns after talking to staff.

Our center’s mealtimes are meant to be peaceful and joyful, fostering a laid-back environment where kids may grow up to be independent by choosing their own food choices and feeding themselves when it’s appropriate. We urge staff members to sit with the kids while they eat, engage in discussion with them, and make mealtimes lively and engaging.

We make sure our babies get the right nourishment by carefully preparing meals to suit their individual needs. Furthermore, we offer a special area for nursing moms, promoting their decision to do so and providing a cozy setting.

Regardless of medical issues or cultural preferences, we are dedicated to providing for every child’s nutritional needs. However, we will collaborate closely with parents to offer sufficient food in cases where the center is unable to meet specific demands.

All children will have access to wholesome food options, even if they choose not to eat the main course. They will still be given a variety of dishes from a follow-up plate.

The center does not provide any nut-based items to protect the safety of all youngsters. According to the “Food Safety Program,” we are unable to allow children to share food that has been brought from home. This policy aids in upholding our center’s strict dietary management and food safety regulations.

Every child’s dental health is a key priority at Treehouse Early Learning Centers. Because it can be difficult to use and store children’s toothbrushes on-site, we have implemented a thorough dental hygiene policy to promote healthy oral hygiene habits all day long.

In order to assist this, we limit sugary foods and beverages, which lowers the risk of cavities and encourages better eating practices. In order to encourage kids to pick water as their main beverage, we also make sure that fresh water is always available.

Furthermore, dental care is incorporated into our curriculum. In order to ensure that kids comprehend the advantages of brushing their teeth and taking regular care of their gums and teeth, we incorporate activities and lessons that highlight the significance of maintaining proper oral hygiene.

We provide all enrolled children with free six-monthly dental checkup visits to further demonstrate our dedication to dental health. Qualified dental specialists visit our center to do these examinations, guaranteeing that every kid receives routine dental examinations and advice on how to keep their teeth and gums healthy.

To reduce the number of disease cases, instructors and children are strongly encouraged to maintain proper personal cleanliness. If your child is sick, we also think that their home is the ideal place for them to be because they can heal more quickly.

The center manager or responsible person in charge may inform you that your kid is not well enough to engage in the day’s activities if they show up with symptoms of illness. Until they recover or the exclusion time is over, you will need to find other arrangements (you might need to submit a medical clearance document before your child can return). Additionally, it’s a sign that your child might not be well enough to attend daycare that day if they need to take medication, such Panadol, before they arrive at the center. To ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone, we ask parents to thoroughly evaluate their child’s health before visiting the center.

Parents may find this annoying, but reducing the risk of illness is beneficial for all of the children and families visiting the center.

In the event that your kid gets sick throughout the day, first aid and documentation will start, and you might be called to come pick them up from the center and for more medical advice. To find out when teachers are permitted to give medication, it is crucial that you thoroughly study the center’s medication policy. The following page contains a list of common infectious diseases, their exclusion periods, and rules and procedures pertaining to illness and preventing the spread of infectious diseases.

Since our educators are unable to detect medical concerns, any child who has a temperature higher than 37.8 will be removed from the center because it may indicate an illness.

Children who have a fever, temperature, or pain will not be given medications containing paracetamol because these drugs frequently conceal the signs of sickness.

A parent must fill out and sign a medication record if your kid needs medicine while in care. The drug must be in its original container and come with a prescription label or note from the doctor specifying the drug’s intended use and dose.

Medication will be kept in a locked cupboard and must be given to a staff member. Medication of any kind should never be left in a child’s backpack. For more details, please see the Medication Policy.

To ensure that every child feels secure and free to explore their surroundings, our educators take a proactive approach to safety and carry out in-depth risk evaluations of every play space.

There are designated asthma and anaphylaxis supervisors on duty at all times, along with a Senior First Aid trained employee. Teachers will administer first aid right away in the event of an accident or unexpected illness, and you will be informed to come pick up your kid.

You will be informed of the course of action for additional medical care in emergency situations. If you or your designated representative cannot be reached in an emergency, the Center Director will provide the ambulance officers your kid’s details, and a team member who knows the child will go with them to the hospital and wait for you. The incident’s complete record will be made public.

Our goals are to raise awareness of the risks associated with sun exposure, encourage the use of adequate skin protection (sunblock and clothes), and actively support healthy lifestyle choices that provide sun protection.

When participating in outdoor activities, all children, employees, and guests are given hats and are urged to wear broad-brimmed or legionnaire-style hats.

A variety of sun protection techniques will be employed from August 1 through April 30, and at other times when the UV is 3 or higher, in accordance with the Department for Education and Cancer Council SA guidelines. To help with the implementation of this policy, staff members are advised to access the daily sun protection times through the BOM websites, my UV, or the SunSmart app.

Employees will apply the center’s SPF 30+ broadspectrum sunscreen to every child at least 20 minutes before they enter the outdoor space, and they will reapply it at least every two hours.

Please get in touch with the center if you have any questions after visiting and going over your parent handbook.
